Filter messages in the Conversation View by relationship to the current record

You can now filter the messages that are displayed in the Conversation View to only show messages that are related to the current record. For example, if a Contact record has multiple Case records and you navigate to one of the Cases, you can set the current record filter to only show messages related to that Case.

Using the Filter messages by record toggle

  1. Click on the Conversation View Settings button.

  2. Click the Filter messages by record toggle.
  3. Click the Back button to save and return the message list.

Note: The Filter messages by record toggle will return to its default value when you navigate away from the current page or refresh the browser. The default value can be configured by an admin (see below).

Admin settings for Filter messages by record

Admins can configure the default value for the Filter Messages by record toggle, and enable/disable the ability for users to change the toggle in the Conversation View by editing the Lightning Record Page.

Note: These settings are unique to the Lightning Record Page in which they are configured and will not be applied globally.

Disable attachment button on the Conversation View

Admins can remove the Add attachments button from the Conversation View by editing the Lightning Record Page.

Note: These settings are unique to the Lightning Record Page in which they are configured and will not be applied globally.

Error handling for SMS records with missing data

If for some reason (custom automations, data import) there is missing data on an SMS record, the Conversation View will still display the message and show an error message.
