Update Details

New and Improved Mogli Settings!

We've redesigned Mogli Settings with a new, simplified interface built using Lightning Web Components. This centralized hub provides administrators with a more efficient way to manage all aspects of Mogli, improving the overall user experience and reducing the need for support inquiries.

You can access the new Mogli Settings through the custom "Mogli Settings" tab in Salesforce. The legacy "Application Settings" tab remains accessible as well.

Note: If the “Mogli Settings” tab isn’t visible in your Mogli SMS Lightning app, you can add it by following these steps to customize the app’s navigation menu: Add Tabs to an App's Navigation Menu.

Mogli API

Managing Mogli API Settings: All Mogli API settings are now located in a dedicated section within Mogli Settings.

To maintain system stability, enabling the Mogli Messaging API for Bulk Sends and the Connected App for Incoming Messages is a one-time action and these cannot be disabled without Mogli support.

API Offline Alerts: If there's an issue with the Mogli Messaging API (e.g., invalid API key, unauthorized Connected App, or inactive user), an alert will appear at the top of Mogli Settings with a red banner.

Verifying Your Mogli API Key: The "Check Status" button verifies the validity of your Mogli API Key. If the key is invalid, click "Get New API Key" to generate a new one, and then click "Check Status" again. Important: The authorization step must be completed by a System Administrator in your organization.

Enabling the Mogli Messaging API for Bulk Sends: This setting ("Enable Mogli Messaging API for Bulk Sends") activates the Mogli Messaging API for SMS messages created through bulk processes. Once enabled in Mogli Settings, this setting can only be disabled by changing the "Enable Mogli Messaging API" field in Application Settings to "false."

Enabling Incoming Messages via the Connected App: Enabling "Enable Connected App for Incoming Messages" allows incoming SMS messages to be created by the authorized user through the Connected App. Once enabled in Mogli Settings, this setting can only be deactivated by setting the "Receive Incoming Messages through Guest" field in Application Settings to "true."

Gateways

Centralized Gateway Management: All Gateway management is now handled in the "Gateways" tab within Mogli Settings. Here, you can easily create, edit, and access Gateway records, manage opt-in preferences, and configure general Gateway settings. Important: A valid Gateway record must always be selected as the Global Default Gateway.

Editing and Accessing Gateways: To edit a Gateway record, click the down arrow next to it. To view a Gateway's details, click its name to open the record in a new tab.

Utilities

Improved Visibility and Control for Scheduled Apex Jobs: We've enhanced the way you monitor and manage scheduled Apex jobs. Key improvements include:

  • Detailed Job Descriptions: Each scheduled Apex job now includes a detailed description of its function.

  • Disabled Job Warnings: A clear warning banner will now appear if any scheduled Apex jobs are not enabled.

  • Flexible Scheduling Intervals: Administrators can now customize the time interval for scheduled jobs, choosing between minutes or hours for greater control.

Integrated Objects

Streamlined Integrated Object Management in Mogli Settings: We've streamlined the management of Mogli Integrated Objects by moving it to a dedicated "Integrated Objects" tab within Mogli Settings. This change offers several key benefits:

  • Simplified Updates: Making changes to integrated objects is now much easier.

  • Quick Toggle for Anonymous Leads: You can now quickly enable or disable Anonymous Leads as needed.

  • No More Custom Metadata: You no longer need to navigate to Custom Metadata to manage integrated objects.

Mogli URL & Scheduler

The Mogli URL and Mogli Scheduler components remain unchanged in this release.

Improved Reliability of Bulk Sends: Accurate User Attribution

We've improved the reliability of bulk sends, especially when multiple sends are initiated at the same time. This enhancement ensures accurate attribution of the "Created By" user, preventing potential access issues with merge fields.

Increased Bulk Send Limit for Reports

The maximum number of recipients for bulk sends via reports on the Bulk SMS Lightning tab has increased to 25,000, up from the previous limit of 2,000.

Enhance Your SMS Templates with File Attachments

You can now add more context and engagement to your SMS messages by attaching files directly to your templates. Keep in mind that carrier restrictions on file size and type still apply.

Adding an attachment is easy: simply navigate to the SMS template you want to edit and either drag and drop a file or click the "Upload Files" button.

Once you've added an attachment to an SMS template, you can send messages from either the Mogli Conversation view or the Bulk SMS Lightning Tab. Templates that include attachments are easily identifiable by the attachment icon displayed next to the template name.
