Q: Why should I use Mogli URL?

A: Mogli URL allows you to send shorter links, resulting in fewer characters per message. Fewer characters means you can preserve your messaging segments for your message content, rather than extra characters within links. Branded links, such as those sent via Mogli URL, offer better deliverability to your recipients by helping you avoid getting flagged as spam.


Q: Is the CNAME record case-sensitive?

A: Yes! Be sure to enter the “Name” within Salesforce to match the CNAME record within your DNS provider.


Q: How can we deactivate a URL?

A: Within the Mogli Conversation View, click the “link” icon (1) on the bottom right corner. You can then click the icon on the right of the URL (6) to deactivate a particular URL.


Q: Do I need to input the “custom back half”?
A: No, if you leave this space blank, a custom back half (slug) will be generated for you automatically.


Q: How do I know if we are currently utilizing Mogli URL already?

A: Check with the MogliSMS Lightning app > click the “Application Settings” tab > click the “Default” Application Setting” > click the “Mogli URL” tab:


Q: What DNS provider should I use?

A: There are a variety of DNS provider options to choose from. Some that we have experience using and have tested include:

Q: What is the difference between Mogli URL and Mogli URL PRO?

A: Mogli URL allows you to create and send shortened links within 1:1 messages and bulk messages. Mogli URL PRO is an additional cost and allows for personalized engagement tracking. This means that you can see data on how many times a link was clicked and who clicked on the link.
